Not ready for 2012

Next year is 2012, the year of the Zombie Apocalypse … and we’re not ready. With our ADD/ADHD tendencies we find ourselves once again, behind on our holiday decorating, Christmas shopping, cookie making and other seasonal activities.  As  Christmas and New Year approaches we are running around trying to get everything accomplished.

To Do ListAnyone that knows us well, knows that we struggle to stay organized. Part of the struggle is our ADD traits but another part is the fact that we have so many irons in the fire. We are involved in many things, many groups, many hobbies and there are many more that interest us but we don’t have time for. I think even if we did not have a full time job, we would still struggle to make time for all of our interests. We have so many!!!

So in 2012 I think we are going to try something new. Instead of coming up with a list of things to do, goals or resolutions, we will instead come up with a list of things not to do. By cutting back and making time for other things we want to do, we can hopefully find more balance in the new year… until the Zombies arrive on Dec 21st, 2012 in which case, it won’t matter anymore.

Naughty or Nice?

Christmas is coming up on us very quickly. We were originally planning on traveling to Florida for a few days for a family wedding but the timing didn’t work out. So we are stuck here in the cold northeast for the duration. :(

As we decorate for the holidays, make some coquito (yum!) and dodge insane shoppers, we’ll be thanking the Almighty Elf for all our family & friends and wishing everyone happiness and health in the New Year. For her part Tasha, our tortie kitty with ‘tude will be wondering if Santa will buy her sweet innocent story. Hmmm … don’t bet on it kitty.

You are now entering the Mutara Nebula
